Having long arms it was much more comfortable to me reverting to stock.

I went to the Classic bars because I hated the wrist angle of the Touring bars. The classic bars felt perfect going down the road, but the first time I made an acute turn, it pulled the opposite bar right out of my hand! So I added the risers and it was fine.

The back rest keeps me close to the bars which is better to compensate for my poor leaning skills. .

I don't get it. The bar were too wide? How would bringing them back and up fix anything other than the sitting up cruising posture? My issue is that, in the turns, I end up with the inside elbow stuck against my chest.
