New Tuner Maybe????

The trick is not trying to spend the least amount money that never gets you max performance the Idea is to make max power and performance with a stock engine with a more efficient Exhaust system , air intake and Dyno tune
Easy for you to say. One can also try to get the maximum performance for whatever hardware one has.

Thanks for all the replies, the tuner did try adjusting timing and changing 2nd throttle adjustments to get that last bit up top. Just couldn't get it to go up. He did say it wanted more fuel up top, but was at the max tuneecu would put in.
I am very happy with the tune as it has power, it is super smooth and delivery is predictable. Not everyone wants max hp at all cost. I wanted it to be a little louder, which I got a lot, has a little more power and looks stock with coated exhaust. Because I like the look. Not everyone drag races like the video I saw earlier.

@dougl, I had the domination tune from claviger in the bike when I got there, but he worked off the stock tune. if you pm me I will email you the tune he made.

If it is not getting enough fuel at peak revs with WOT then I would put a new fuel filter in, and then ask him to run it again.

Thanks for posting! I just happened to cut into some stock cans with a similar notion except I don't want more sound, just flow, so I'm experimenting. While I'm not hell bent on numbers, posting results really helps one to interpolate what kinda gains they can expect for the dollars spent. Seems like you got a great return for your idea and investment. Good job!

One thing I wish I had done was wrap inside with insulation or ss wool. It is much cooler now, but could be even better. Almost touchable after riding.

Not bad and now you have found another tuner willing to work on Rockets, Heck I used to go to Wayne Tripps so now maybe I will give him a try. I am not sure what you have on her for air filters. But your header is robbing some power. Of course with what your trying to accomplish your did good. Your car tire is holding the numbers down some and no I am not harping it is just a fact. But taking that in mind your still doing good, as it has more power then normal out the gate. The fuel filter idea is a good one. And since you used a stock tune did you raise the rev limit? If not and the ecu starts pulling fuel before the rev limit that might be some of your problem also. All in all I think your doing fine. I sometimes wish I had never touched my 06 especially when I see Ian and realize I could have had over a 100,000 trouble free miles.

I'm guessing that most of the heat was from the CAT's? I'm still trying to decide how to rearrange, if any, the baffles inside mine before welding them back together, but pretty sure straight through is too loud for me. I'll post pic's when I'm done.

I'm sure removing the cat would help. 1st time I did a 1" hole thru cat and in each baffle. Barely noticeable that time. The exhaust this time is loud, like a cross between a sport bike and a harley. You can hear it at 1/4 mile if you blip the throttle.

YES IT is easy for me to say and its easy to do ya just use the proven parts and tune and presto ya got 165 +HP and 165 TRQ its that easy BUT ya gotta use the RIGHT STUFF

IMFASTTOO
Sometimes not everyone wants what you have for sale. You didn't have what I wanted: Dual pipe set up. Look mostly stock. Cost 70$.
At that point you have to ask. Is 30 hp and 10 lbs tq worth 1400$ or whatever the cost is. To me it was not. I was never chasing numbers. Also not everyone has unlimited resources to purchase frivolous goodies for their toy. Neither way is wrong, just different.
