Both my tires were shagged out when I left the Hub. First thing I did when I got home was order new tires. A Max for the rear and Cobra up front.

Hey Duk!
I did the same except mine are a Max and Avon Azaro.
How's Canada treating you?
Too bad we are SOOOO far apart - I would enjoy a ride together!

Steve, you really should correct (the 150 to an Exedra bias ply ) that excellent motorcycle tire cart you put up, if you can. It's very helpful for those unfamiliar with the exixting options.

I'd also ask you to add the Exedra Max 130/70 17 with an asterisk indicating that it is only safe to fit on pre-Roadster and non-ABS models, but I know that how you feel about your painful experiment with it, so I won't ask.;)

For the record, it is head and shoulders the best handling set up I've experienced and some of y'all might recall that I was the first R3 owner here to try and recommend the 240 Exedra Max, its matching 130 for those with qualifying models, as well as the 140 Michelin Commander II.

Phil,
The front tire OEM size Bridgestone Excedra 701 150/80R17 72H is a radial.
Regarding the front tire you like, I find Bridgestone lists only an Exedra Max in a 130/70 ZR17 (62W) and no 75 aspect ratio size.
Is this the one you are referring to?

My front tyre was shagged out at the hub. I only got 11,200 miles out of it, and had to replace it with a Metz, as that was all that was available.

At least the Metzeler fronts work better on the Rocket than the rears!
With your huge mileage I would guess you have tried every option in tires. Yes/No?

Here is my new updated tire list . . . and with "Exedra" correctly spelled -

Good to know, Amigo.
I haven't tried a G701 one as I use 140s on the front.
So far on the front:
Metzeler OEM, Michelin CommanderII, Dunlop D251, Avon Cobra & just about ready for Avon Azaro
So far on the rear:
Metzeler OEM, Bridgestone Excedra Max X 4 &
just about ready for another

steve when we hook up you can see what an azzaro looks like as I have that model on the front

I don't see the Rikken Raptor on there anywhere???....and is there a Pirelli P-Zero in a size to suit the front of a Roadster?

1) Ha! Ha! Ha!
2) I find no other Pirelli fits the Rocket . . . and I gave a good look as I like the tires and used them a lot on my sport bikes.
