My Rocket III has recently arrived from the UK. I am still awaiting government testing but hope to be riding it by mid January. The wait is killing me! The bike is a retirement present to myself. My first bike was a Triumph Tiger Cub 200cc single, bought in 1964 when I was 16 and living in the UK. The Rocket may be the last bike I buy hence choosing something very special. I currrently ride a Ducati Diavel which my friends already regard as a heavy machine. Wait 'til they see the Rocket.
Any words of wisdom for my first day out would be gratefully received.
Welcome from Auss
to this great forum of the Mighty Rocket the only words of wisdom I will give at this time is Hang the F##k On the first time you open her up..... oh and get some muscle relaxant for that Silly Grin that you will get everytime you go for a ride... I still get it after 3 years and 40,000km
G'day Richard , Welcome from one of the many Aussies here. Only advice i got is keep checking your mirrors for cars or bikes with flashing lights and sirens ... the Rocket III's only real natural enemy .
He rides a Diavel, which will stomp a hole in the Rocket... The Rocket should take it off the line though.. nothing like great big huge amounts of torque!
You have to have the bike tested by the government???? What is that all about? What kind of testing. I have heard in China there is a CC limit. Large bikes like the Harley have to be accompanied by a police officer to be rode. A guess that's part of living in a Communist country,,,,.
Glad to have ya join us.
plenty of excitement on a rocket for sure.
Any other rockets you know of in China?
plenty of knowledge here on the forum,
any problems or questions, just ask.
