New 2013/4 Roadster

Thanks for the dope, Sinai.
OK so they blacked out the bear claw, radiator frame and horn. Seat upholstery looks different as well. I like the racing stripes!

I like the chrome against the flat black! What I REALLY want to know is how and if I can do that "electronic torque limiter" mod!
I may just add some similar racing stripes - only in powder blue.:D

You will NOT be sorry.
This thing handles so well for a huge beast it's remarkable.
Ain't no sport bike; but, kicks the hell outta and other cruiser I have seen or met on the road. I thought it stupid the first couple thousand miles that anyone would want more power - BUT - if I lived closer to New Jersey I know I would scrape up the moola for at least a 210 kit. Just TOOOOO **** FUN!!!

Oh yeah - put on some panniers and Easy Brackets and a set of highway pegs for a stretch and it will do all the travelin' ya heart desires. Did a 3K mile run to Sturgis after buying mine and fell in love. Real glad motors are better than wives in that its OK to have and ride more than one. Going to cross the country on "Bruiser" and visit old some long lost buddies at The Wall this summer.
Go For It!

I would also like to know if I can do that "electronic torque limiter" mod! I bought a 2013 in early January, and just saw the revision to the Roadster last night. I feel a little bit shafted by the changes to the 2013 when I bought a 2013, but oh well. The main thing I feel like I missed out on was the limiter mod . Or would adding a Power Commander get me around that anyway?

Power commander (only used for fuelling) won't fix the electronic limiter you need to use TuneECU for that it is a very useful software tool

Oh and welcome but you really should go and introduce yourself in the the new members forum

Chances are it will only be a tune update from Triumph and your dealer would likely do it free.

I bought a 2012 with every intention of blacking out these same pieces just to be different. After attending the International Motorcycle Show (Cleveland Venue) and seeing so many bikes blacked out, I was thinking about leaving the chrome alone. Now that I see the new 2013s are on the same bandwagon, I'll keep the chrome! I put the bars & pegs on last week and I think they look good with the radiator. I think the racing strips would go better on a bright black with clearcoat.

I was at the Cleveland Show also, talked to Triumph Rep (John) he was silent on the new release coming in may. (quote I know nothing) guess I can understand that, they want everyone buying what they have now. I will wait until may! early release 2014 Rocket 3 ;)

I was going to wait and see if there were any changes before I bought mine (2012) a couple weeks ago. The dealer in Canton had the bike I bought, a new "left over" 2012 matte black R3R on a $2K discount off MSRP. I got the bike out the door tax, title, etc.... with TORs & tune installed, take home boxes with highway bars, adjustable pegs & mounting kit, black teardrop mirrors, and tank protector for a hair over $15K. I couldn't resist:D
