well i reckon i screwed up was trying to hook lights up on a trunk i got and blew a fuse put a new one in and all i had was the tail light no brake light so i changed the bulb 3 times and no difference and checked all the fuses im hoping some one here can help without me trying to trace all the wiring

Sh*t, I do need to be your neighbor so we can screw one bike up and have the second to figure out where we went wrong  Somewhere, I printed the wiring diagram on a 24" by 36 " plotter so an old f*rt like me can actually read and follow it. Packed and lost until I unpack.

I think if I am reading the service manual correctly there are two fuses you need to change. Looks like the break light and the tail light have different fuses.
I am not sure this is correct but a wise old biker once told me to look at the simple answer it is usually the correct one.

That's a tough one..... I wish I had a answer. You saying all fuses look good but you have no brake light correct?

Just a suggestion..
I use a test lamp and trace thru' the connection and fuses.. its a quick way to find the dead spot.
If I suspect a broken wire I stick a fine pin or needle into the cable to get an idea where the break is..

You could make one with a bulb holder and a piece of wire..or use a volt meter.. at least you can see whats happening.

It beats guessing.. JM2CW
