My New Roadster

My 2014 came with the black rims, but I have seen 2014's, 15's and 16's, with the polished aluminum wheels here in the states. I don't understand the designation, but no big deal. Enjoy your bike

Thanx Guys for all the positive comments. You may very well be right about the facebook checking....i have a preference for the Bridgestone Exedra Max over the Metzler for longevity..(I have another BEM sitting in the dark in the shed waiting its turn to do some turns...once this one has done about 10000kms im hoping)
I had a choice of matt black with the white stripes but prefer the gloss and red.
So far, in the work i have done since bringing her home, i havnt found any other differences other than the couple i have already mentioned.
I have taken the cat converter and mufflers off and added a crossover and the big bore mufflers...Added fork brackets and black flyscreen...put on the Thunderbike teebars with Kuryakn grips with black end weights...
Next job is removing the air filter and plenums and adding K&N pods to help her get good clean, instant air.
My aim is to make her relax so the running in period is stressless...just my thinking really...

I observed Morris lift my bike's tank...
1. Access front hex bolt with long extension. Bolt head found stripped and over tightened. Old school trick and good tools saved the bolt head.
2. Proceed to a partial tank lift.
3. Pull off the long pivot screw in the back of the tank and viola, tank off without massing with the gages.
4. Reinsert the long tank pivot screw while you work under the tank, if necessary.

Today I finished doing a lot of work on my new ride and went for a short, easy jaunt of about 80 kms...got to my cobbers place and found a small oil leak at the left, rear of the motor!...Hard to tell from where it is coming but maybe a head gasket?...Will find out in a day or two...Bugger!

Lots of owners seem to have found tappet cover gasket leaks. Search here and the thread shows typical distortion of gasket associated with problem.
