do any captins out there have the d&d slip on mufflers on there rockets and how is the tone is it hi or low grubble looking at a set of them but don't want it much loader just want more growl out of it ??

It will be louder. They eliminate the cat box, and they are a pretty cost effective way to do it since you don't have to buy a bypass. It has been a few years since I rode my dealer's demo bike with D&Ds on it. But I remember them being a little raspy.

I had a set before my preds.
No a loud as the preds, but they will make your ears ring after a ride.

how do you clamp down your bike in the trailer when traveling

bike anchored in trailer

albertaduke--the front wheel is anchored in a "condor pit stop trailer stop"--i guy the bike to "d anchors" mounted in the floor--two tiedowns from the triple tree in the front from either side and two tiedowns from the two holes that are on either side of the bottom of the motor--all of the guying has a forward and downward force of exertion--so far i have not had to anchor the rear wheel--i hope this explains the system to you--when do you resume your u.s. travels?--you are a fun guy to watch--ride safe--bill

I have the D&D touring slip ons on my R3T. They are a lot louder than stock. But,, they have a nice low growl that sounds a bit like a straight six with glass packs. I like the sound. Not too loud. I would not like the louder mufflers some install. I'm an old guy who rides long distance. The noise would get old real quick!! :D

d&d sound

skip--not quite as loud as a harley but they do have a nice deep rumble--at road speed they may approch 1/2 to 3/4 of a loud harley--i like them much better than stock--with stock pipes the rocket sounded like a small aircraft--cool but needed a few more decibels--just right for my taste now--these are the only other pipes that i've tried so i can't compare to any thing else--never traveled with another rocket so can't compare that either--thanks for the compliment--ride safe--bill
