Always looking for new stuff a friend pointed me on the Monza Fuel Cap.

Jenks' Bolts

They also sell one at British customs who placed a video at youtube.
Any of you have it already and where did you get it?

Do we need the 2,5 inch one?

On the Triumphrat.net there is also done some writing:

Monza Fuel Cap (UK Purchase) - Triumph Forum: Triumph Rat Motorcycle Forums

Monza - Aston Filler Cap.

Guy's, I need some help. I need to find out what kind of Cap is out there to put on our Touring.
I see there is a company in Sarasota called BAT Inc. which sells severall types of these Caps.

British American Transfer

But more important also the Necks and rings etc, etc I probably need to get it on the Tank in a descent way.
I am not that good in American technical talk as you are because I am Dutch.
If one of you would be so kind to find out in this company which parts I need to get the cap placed I would highly appreciate it.
Over here we also speak in centimeters as you talk about inches etc.

I know British Customs make one but that one is closed and is only for the sight.

Hopefully this will work.

Thanks.

Sorry but I just don't get why you would want a fuel cap that sticks up as opposed to the stock flush mount version. The fuel cap is one of the things I have liked most about the R3 stock unit! Esay to use, never leaks and looks great!

Look at a nice Aston Filler Cap. You can not compare it with the round Cap we have on.
It's a piece of Art and looks great on the Bike. But luckily we all have different Thoughts.

Okay Hans. Now I know what you are talking about. I'm not sure what size cap you would need to fit the R3T. Measure the opening with the cap off. I would think that would tell you.

Someone on the forum must know????? Except for the smooth side finish, I kind of like the stock cap. Triumph makes a cap with a different edge that is easier to grip.

Anyone have an answer??

Hans, It might be best to take a picture of the gas tank opening and measurements and email those to the company that makes them.
They should be able to tell you what you need.

OK Guys,
I will make some pictures and send them over to see of the people in BAT can help.
If I have more news I will post it.

The cap arrived. Install was a piece of cake.

Bought it in Italy at cafetwin.
