I have a 2011 Rocket III Roadster. The bike is factory stock and I have the flyscreen also. I would like to be able to flat foot the bike without strain and to do so I need to lower the bike about 1 inch. So my question is this. What is the best way to lower the bike (front/rear) the one inch I need? I would like to keep the seat I have on it and not modify or replace it. Are different shocks the correct answer? Or can I just re-adjust the setting on the existent shocks? If it matters, I am on the larger size 6' and 250 lbs and would obviously not want to have the bike bottom out. Suggestions? Thanks guys.

Set the rear to 2.( worked best for me before I bought Hagons..I'm 242Lbs in shorts.)( better handling solo) 4 if pillion on. Lower the frount end by loosening the fork clamps & bringing the forks thru 15-20mm.That will not only lower the bike, but sharpen up the handling.
1 inch shorter shocks and a 130/70/17 tire will lower you an inch without changing the rake. Maybe you should try one of the standar seats as they do not sit as tall as the Roadster seats. It would be a quick way to tell. the solo seat withthe pillon sits lower then all the Triumph seats.
If you cannot flat foot the bike at 6' tall, then you must have a very long body. I have no problems at 5'10" with any seat, and a gel pad and peeled jumbuck on it.
However, if you lower the bike then you will loose ground clearance and cornering ability. You can get quite a lot shaved off the seat to lower it, which would be a better option. Also engineers boots or cowboy boots with non-slip soles and heels will give you an extra inch.
Quite true. I'm only 5'9 & I can still get my feet down fine, with 13.5" extra long rear shocks. Lowering the bike WILL lose you clearance.... 'course depends on how you ride & what roads.. This may be irrelevant?
