Lost my plate

I guess mine was as well just something you just don't think of looking for, but I will now
 
TriumPhil. nice licence plate lights ,but your going to get people drive up close to see what it says that could be dangrerous lol
 
Years ago, I had a nicer scrolling LED message license plate bracket than the one I posted, on one of my VTX 1800s. It was very bright and legible from about 75' away. Nonetheless, since it was connected to an easily accessed toggle switch, I only turned it on at stop lights or when cruising down any Main St where the speed limit was under 30 mph. Since it was programmable and switchable for a half dozen, different 150+ characters, I had a message for any needed occasion including one very special one for idiots I might encounter on those rare occasions when I rode on superslabs. If I used that message for someone that did me wrong, they were awarded a special presentation within safe, but readable sight distance and then I'd accelerate well out in front of them and over the horizon before they knew what hit 'em.
 
I checked out the bracket and emailed the guy he said it's just the bracket for the plate it doesn't come with the socket dome light for the license plate.
I found one for a 05 on EBay for $9.00 and $15 for shipping that I'm thinking of buying and that bracket for the plate.
But could some one that as a 05 take a picture how this light is mounted I just can't remember does it screw on a separate plate above licence plate that I need to buy as well?
Just can't can't remember how it was mounted?

This is what I end up doing, I made this plate holder bought the light on eBay bought these bolts, and this is what it looks like, just need to buy chrome licence plate cover to compleat.

Yeah I'm going to start to do that, I lost my whole licence plate the metal must of been cracked and with vibration got worse untill the whole thing fell off.
But if I would have gone through my bike once in a while I would of noticed before I lost it.
this is a heavier gauge should not break, but for sure I will check my bike all over every ones in a while.
 
Got my chrome licence plate I think it turned out good.
$9.00 including shipping from eBay for light.
$5.00 for metal for plate.
And Chrome plate cover on sale for $22.00
Chrome licence plate bolts for $9.95 Anti theft bolts which I don't understand how it's anti-theft because it came with a wrench, therefore, anyone that has a wrench or pliers can still take it off.
But happy with the look.
