Loose Battery Poles

My battery pole screws keep getting loose. The bike does not want to start and if I tighten the screws a little they are fine for a while and this recurs.

Lock washer, pressure washer?

Haven't tried it on the R3, but on the Suzuki Intruder most people used star washers. They bight into the post for a better connection, plus the help prevent it from getting loose.

Used to have this problem.

Don't anymore.

Only change was a different battery.

Wish I could offer more, but the star washer thing makes a lot of sense to me... and maybe a little more torque.
