longer range cruising needs...

I traded my R3s for a k1600 gtl because its a better 2 up ride, but my longest trip was 1250 miles straight thru from st pete to chicago on my R3 and there was no vibration, I have a corbin dual tour with rider backrest and rivco floorboards with the roadster large screen from triumph. My k1600 has a 6 speed and is turning slightly higher rpm in 6th as the r3 in 5th at the same speed and I think because of the massive 2300 c.c. your going to find that on whatever bike you ride. The roadster's suspension transfers even the expansion cracks to your whole body while bikes like the gtl or the Trophy will float right over them. Get a ST but don't trade the rocket for it. ( unless it's 10 years old, the trannys shot, and the rims are rusting).

It's been a while but finally purchased a Airhawk R today, I have 800km ride tomorrow and 600km ride home the next day so it will be a good test.

IMHO the air hawk is the best value comfort enhancer you can buy, I have had a couple of them over the years and don't leave home without it, just don't pump it up too hard

You can also try moving the air hawk further forward to support your thighs or back so as to soften the ride for your tail bone. I usually start a long ride without it and then put it on when i need gas. The russel day long still my and my wifes favorite.

THE ROCKET is not reving high compared to any of the other cruisers its geared higher than the Harleys with 6th gear

WHERE and why are you cruising at 90 MPH ? thats not a legal or safe criusing speed anywhere and your trolling for police nothing relaxing about that . different wind screens ,seats, highway pegs are are available RIVCO makes a nice set of HIGHWAY pegs that mount to the peg rails I have them on my ROADSTER . YOU cant travel at those speeds your going to spend all your spare time in court so slow down and relax and enjoy yourself . I went riding with a couple of Harley guys that thought they could cruise along on the highway at 90 to 100 mph from TRENTON NJ to SOUTH ST in PHILA PA so I just let them go and I cruised along with the traffic at 65 they never made it I passed them and the police had pulled them over issued them speeding tickets for 92 mph and they ended up loosing their Driving privledges Also your not going to get good gas mileage traveling at 90+ mph

It shouldn't be vibrating. You may want to check a few things, such as balancing the throttle bodies.
I agree my stock CLassic is very smooth at highway speeds , And my 2012 250HP ROADSTER is even smoother

Guess that may make getting at the ignition somewhat easier as well.
move the ignition to the side ( very simple ask @DEcosse to make you a wiring extension and relocate!! the left side is generally where it is relocated I did just that.
