I fitted the Harley Day Makers a few years ago, expensive but a massive improvement, at first I was a little disappointed but once I got adjusted right I am very pleased.

Like everything - this a bit like measuring a distance with ELASTIC. It depends.

In plain English - It's a straight swap Plug and Play. A 2008 Classic needs two 5&3/4" units.

But if you have a 2008 Classic without some form of headlight relay - you should do that ANYWAY before the ignition switch craps out.

Q: Is this a swap for the purposes of aesthetics or are you looking for advanced night time illumination?

Why? - You ask.

If the LED units you choose are simple Hi/lo things then you will be reducing load. This is fine for aesthetics.
If you go for state of the art "Adaptive" LED - the load will be just as high in corners. Once you have used these at night, you will shun ANYTHING else.
3 rd ignition - 1 full harness- I carry electical tape and hope whenever I go out - part of the thrill!

Reread all these posts. Do not get the wrong size. Do get proper bypass wiring for the ignition.

$80 in LED headlights and the Eastern Beaver relay kit. Original setup was horrible, Beaver relays made it a bit better and more reliable, then the LED units kicked it to the next level. I had tried several replacement lamps (JDM's, Superbrights) in the Triumph housings and wasnt real impressed. I like these. I imagine Speakers are outstanding.

I like the Alien Mode.

Where do get that?

Why do I need it?

... and finally - cost?

I got my By-Pass wiring from Ken known as Decosse on this board. His by-pass wiring is more complete and is totally plug and play. No cutting, spicing or crimping. And it looks really cool. He can also install an extra wire for an on/off switch. I added the on/off switch to mine and I use it a lot.
