Leaking fuel tank

Rocket Touring 2008
Had a leaking fuel tank and it came from the fuel pump unit. Decided to tighten a little before heading down the workshop to change the gasket but ended with a broken bolt. Long story short, Mechanic saw the condition of the tank and pump, recommended to change the whole fuel tank and pump.

Should I?

Oh btw, went and saw there's quite a few type of fuel tank on hermy. The abs version are cheaper but do they fit my '08 touring? Thanks in advance for all the advice!
 
The R3Touring tank is not compatible with other models.All years of R3T should fit.

Ya I saw on hermy website and search under 08 touring but quite a few type came up as well. The abs version are cheaper and hence the question if those are compatible as well.
 
Your fuel must be rubbish mate. My tank is pristine clean.

@jtanc39 I don't see any difference between my 15' or 13' without abs.
