2015 Rocket 3 Touring
Hi, I'm a 70 YO HD rider who just got tired of seeing everyone and their brother go by with a V twin between their legs and decided to switch to a 2015 Triumph Rocket lll Touring. I've had only three rides in my lifetime: a 1956 Royal Enfield (don't ask), a 1973 Norton Commando with full interceptor fairing (great bike !) and - the love of my life- a 1974 HD FLH (which I will forever regret selling). Family and job put an end to all that for some time, but two years ago I decided I still had a couple of good years left in me to play road warrior, so I purchased the RT3.

I've never been a "joiner" so I don't know how much I'm expected to divulge here. But if I've learned anything in my life it's that when you don't know what to say it's better to just shut up.

Thanks for reading this- I'll get to my mechanical problems on another thread.

Tom, it's great to have you here. We'd love to hear your stories.

I can relate, as I'm not that far off.

I looked at the performance of the Hyabusa and other bikes, and hated the crouch position.

The Rocket is a way for me to have my cake and eat it too. ;)

Welcome from Virginia !

You have come to the right place. Bunch of great folk here, and now you've added to our number.
