I just installed a set of Kuryakyn ISO Grips, and I can't get the throttle enclosure to close all of the way again on the bottom. I have pulled it apart a couple of times, and I don't see anything hanging it up... Everything works fine on it, no binding, perfect... it just has about a 1/4" gap at the bottom that is exposing the electrical to the elements. I have got some electrical tape covering it now, but I am looking for a better solution.
Has anyone dealt with this issue, or have any suggestions.

If I am understanding correctly it is because there is a part of the enclosure that has a "pin" that needs to line up with the hole in the bars. With the whole thing loose, slide it towards the end of the bar and look on the backside (towards the front of the bike and a bit down). There should be a hole...not look at the enclosure and you should see the "pin" or "tab"...line it up and everything should go together.

I had the same challenge when I replaced the grips on my R3T.

Hope this helps,

Steven

I have the Kury grips and the original end weights. One needs to put a spacer in that goes just a little further out than the Kury grip. I used a M8 nut (instead of 4 or 5 regular spacers)...the original screw was long enough. Bike is "normal" R3, not a classic or Touring.
