Eh probably not,had them on my R3 with Valk bars and no problems what so ever...

Out of the box thinking- Any chance you have a wind shield and changed the angle? I had the exact symptom when I move the shield back to the rider-very bad experience! Put it back and no problems. By the way I also changed a front tire when this occurred. Couldn't understand why until our Virginia knowledge base explained what happens when you dump air in front of rider instead of over and behind.

I am assuming you have the same tires as stock (like theres a choice on the rear  ) and replaced both?

Cant say I would blame the grips. Never heard of bar end causing head shake. Also sounded like you went a few months with the old tires and the grips with no problems. Sounds like an alignment issue or something isnt tracking true. Did the Trumpet dealer pull the from rim off and check balance and reinstall?

I have seen bikes that would head shake with certain brand and make tires and would not with others but not because a few ounces of bar weights +/-

Sounds like it could be the steering head bearings. The bar end weights are there to reduce felt vibration thru the bars. Th 02-> Goldwings are famous for having head shake when you let go of the bars at low speed, the answer was"don't let go", I would look there just in case..

FWIW - Sounds like the rear tire inflation is low - causes a wobble which is felt in the front end although sourced in the rear- common Hardley sympton - that's how I know about it. As mentioned in a previous post, deflate and over inflate the rear tire and see if the wobble goes away.
