Actually, M8, the OEM crankcase crud exited into the middle of a fairly large box where it was surrounded by the intake filter which covered the plenum intake to the throttle bodies. All the engine breather crud was drawn into the air filter.
I do not see this with yours or with Fred's design where the crankcase crud is introduced directly into the throttle bodies.

Shouldn't be anything other than oil and the occasional bit of water vapour after cold starts coming through the breather. Reason the filter gets all gummed up is that the oil gathers in the mesh and attracts dust and clag.
Shouldn't be a problem ducting the vapour into the inlet as that is the OEM solution for all engines I've seen.
All i can tell you is they are 4inch filters built for a single barrell stromberg carb , they are made to fit by using the OEM throttle body to Plenum chamber rubbers , i bought them from a hotrod show earlier in the year.
I used the original hose that went to the airbox, just swung it out in between the engine and airbox. Then I found a little piece of metal tube 1/2" in diameter and a couple hose clamps to splice on the 1/2" hose up to the breather. I then used a 90 deg. 1/2" barbed fitting I got at a home center in the underground sprinkler area, to attach it to the breather. Used a hole saw to cut hole in the breather.
Not my word, Fred.
Someone else used it, warning of it being inside the old filter box.
My point is there would be no evidence of whatever the stuff is called, because it is being sucked directly through the throttle body into the engine and is NOT going through the air filter.
