I know trawling through earlier threads that the K&N filters under the tank that will fit under the cover is KN RU-2780 with KN62-1340 and KN62-1560 supplementing it. However if I wanted larger pods which stick out and require the cover to be modified, what filter part number would it be? Trying to get it done over Christmas.

If yours is a Touring the 4040s won't fit. 1770s might, I'm waiting for someone else to be the guinea pig on the 1770s. :D

Edit: Bonecarver, yours is a Touring? I've always been told they don't fit???

Edit #2: Ahh, I checked the link, the pic isn't your bike.

An update on the installation....will post the finished product soon

Help please.....

I installed the filters under the tank, removed the O2 sensor and capped the exhaust. The orange engine light has come on after the install and does not go off. What is happening? What could I have done wrong?

Put the O2 sensor back in and make sure it's connected correctly and/or await further advice on how to do it correctly.

You cannot just unplug and pull the O2 sensor it will throw an error code in the ecu.
You have to turn it off via the tuning software aids available for the rocket, or change the programed air fuel requirements via the software tuning aids or buy the O2 sensor bypass plug from Dyno-Jet.

Your better off getting the software tuning aids because they allow you to do maintenance, fueling/timing changes, along with other goodies like correcting speedo errors, adjusting rev limiter, and max speed indicator. None of these can be performed by a Triumph shopp with their Triumph computer. Make sure you follow instructions because there has been a lot of complaints from Triumph shops of people messing up the map program in the ecu. You can DAMAGE THE ENGINE IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING AND MAKE CHANGES THAT WILL AFFECT FUELING AND TIMING!!!!!!
