Just put on a new Bridgestone Excedra Max rear. My first one lasted 9040 miles and was just to the wear strips. I put on another Bridgestone Excedra 150/80 R17 72 H (G701) front. I'm sure I wrote down the mileage when I put it on the first one but haven't been able to find it. If I do I'll post it. I believe it lasted as long as two Excedra Max rears. Been real happy with these tires. Brought in the rims and got both put on for $433.00. It's nice to be able to go on a trip and not have to worry about getting "reshod" out on the road somewhere.

I had a matching pair of Excedra max on my 06 Classic, front tire did 5700 Km's (3562 miles) and was illegal, put an Avon Cobra on the front with Excedra max rear and couldn't be happier. Avon cobra has done 5,000 Km's and you can't see any wear at all!!

The Kiwi.

You just rubbing our Oz noses in the Tarmac Sir ??

2 BS tires for $433 enough to make us Weep mate..

I'm nearly ready to shell out near $600 for the same

RS,
Thanks for the info. I hope you be feeling stronger and getting well.
I just put on my new Excedra Max rear on mine with a Michelin front.
I felt bad having got as much as 7400 miles out of it. You have made me feel better at 9040 out of your Metz! So far (only a few hundred miles) they seem to be good tires. My long ride starting this next week will be the real test.

9040 was from my first Excedra Max. Never got more than 4000 and some change out of a Metz.

Pretty much the same numbers as me, Fred, except mine were kms not miles. 10,000 / 4,800.
I quite liked the Bridgestone on the front but the mileage sucked. Brand new it had hardly any tread dept exactly where you need it most and very quickly wore down to nothing. Excellent wet weather grip though.
On the rear, the Exedra Max has no peer.

Put 1000 miles on my avon/bridgey combo this weekend...lots of twisties through the alps, pouring rain and dry roads. Extremely happy all the way around: comfort, braking, and grip
