Hi all. I'm james dean. I usually ride a 03 honda shadow spirit 750 that I absolutely dog out. had to sell it after I wore it out. did some dog sitting and ended up with a free Rocket. it's been sitting a while and needed some love. still waiting on money to get a new back tire before true speed trials can begin.
I got it running on old rotten tire and took it for a ride (2 1/2 tanks of gas) and I just can't wait to get on this thing and start wearing out tires.

riding this thing is like taking 150mph and shoving it a needle and mainlining pure acceleration.

I'm as coonass as it gets! I was born and grew up in south louisiana (acadiana) as a direct descendant of the original cajun, Germaine Doucet.
 
I've put so many miles on my other bikes, mostly on my 2 03 shadow spirit 750's. all together I have about 200,000 miles on my riding jacket.

I sort of jump at the chance for a road trip. from now on, they're gonna be FASTER!!
 
the guy that gave it to me is a retired navy commander I think. my buddy had rotc in high shool with the guy as the instructor. he said he chipped it to 170 hp. man, that rotten back tire just begs for more traction. I'm not really gonna ride it again on that tire unless I gotta get groceries. and then it'll be slow. that tire scares me. just couldn't resist the urge to speed test it.
 
this 2005 has a lower seat height than the 2010 or 2012 that I test rode once. I'm glad of that, didn't like not having both feet flat on the ground.
