Info for US riders planning on going to RDU

Rich is just a state of mind...I simply refuse to arrive at the end of my life looking back at all the $hit I wish I'd done

that is a profound statement unusual on this forum since we seemingly fly under the intellectual radar kudos to you ahem!! and me

OK, finally got onto it.
Spoke to the guy I know out here and he said,
He has an agent that he uses weekly out of LA.
At least 4 to 6 bikes would make it feasible as costs with a 20 foot container return shipping, all import/export paperwork etc would be between 7 & 8K AUD (6 bikes is about $1333.00 each)
Sea freight out of LA to Melbourne is about 3 weeks.
Drained of fuel and battery disconnected & taped
Need a metal frame (no timber) to hold the bike so it could be strapped inside a container... he is going to send me a picture of ones made to send some bikes out from Europe
If anyone is interested I can forward the contact details

Hope this helps and abit of food for thought.
Cheers,

well i am interested $1330 return from LA is darn cheap.( I paid lot more to fly the R3 to europe) in 2010
for the ride lodging etc.. I figure on $ 5000 and riding to LA first .
Hummm.. I am in if the timing fits my schedule who is organizing this from our end..

Just thinking out loud $1333 return  Maybe sturgis one year for us aussie,s

Sturgis?? And have to spend all that extra on chrome and clothing? No way Jose. If I get my bike to the States, I'm riding. With these guys. Too much to see as it is.

Don't forget, guys, the way the Aussie dollar's going it will be around 80c by then. Les' estimate is AUD so you could be looking at closer to $1000 USD each.

If you come to the States there is no need for you to bring your bike, we have a bike here that you can ride all you want:)
