Welcome from Las Vegas!!! ...and yes, for me the re-tuned R3T is the perfect cure... well, there's no real cure... you just have to give in to the urges... and ride them out... :)

M_D, Mittzy makes a good point about buying the Roadster instead. You can dress her up and make a touring out of her and you have more goodies. Look at mine as an example.

I guess it would depend on where you want your feet. I prefer the touring because I want to be comfortable on those 500-600 mile days. I also like the smaller rear tire for handling, but to each his own.

I have to agree Elvis. I do like the Roadster styling, but it takes a lot of money to bring the Roadster up to the touring status with the price of hard bags in particular. Cheaper to do a tune if you're looking for a performance change. For me, I'm happy with the performance of my R3T now. Less stress on the drive train, bags are ready to go, running lights, backrest, luggage rack, floorboards...what's not to like....all out of the box. My GIPro-ATRE tweak is all I think I'll need. Oh....less speeding tickets too. And don't forget the fact I would just have to turn the rear tires for fun once and awhile as well!

I don't know why I want a R3T. I just do. Can't get it out of my head that I need one. It's just there.

Is there a support group? Is there hope?

Welcome to this asylum Dan. If its a Touring that you want, then get a Touring. I love mine. Nothing wrong with the Roadster, in fact I would like to add one some day but I like the hard bags, large floor boards and over-all feel of the Touring. Mine has the Tors and an upgraded tune and its plenty fast.

I have to chime in too, I wanted the Roadster in the worse way, (but was shopping for a bagger, as I was reminded by my wife when she caught me astride the Roadster).
about $1600 invested in exhaust, PCV, auto tune, and new filters. Also added a trailer hitch. I think I have he best of both worlds. Rear tire overpowering and front wheel lifting torque in a nice comfy ride.

Dan, it appears that a consensus has been formed and that the "Captaincy" here agrees with what Triumph Corporate has been saying for years...

N.B.: that is my exact year, model and color R3 pictured in stock form at 1:35. Today, she is decidedly not stock!

And honestly that's not even required, that's just if you need more than what you get with Power-tripp's remap that adds the missing 30 hp back vs the Roadster.
