How to Thwart Delivery Theft!

Of course living somewhere that wasn't full of thieves might be a better solution.

"Signed For" delivery is a wonderful thing - Folk should try it.

After laughing my butt off at the scumbags, I had the same thought. He is a real rocket scientist so you would think he could afford to live in a better neighborhood.

Reminded me of something I saw decades ago. A company in South Africa that was building anti-carjacking devices.

Basically a propane/petrol flame thrower under the doors that aimed upward at gonad level. Guy comes up, and even if he has a gun - his nuts get fried. Brilliant.

But it was how it was justified that got me. It was shall we say a wee bit obvious. Even my mum caught it.

Still you could not help feeling that maybe one should trawl for hookers somewhere less seedy.

I suppose we're lucky. We have a 24*7 security guard on our estate - and they will accept (and sign for) packages on our behalf. It is a godsend out here in "the sticks" - we don't even get daily postal deliveries usually.

The Royal Mail can't even manage daily anymore, bet you miss old Blighty? lol

It happened to us years ago. My son had just arrived home from his second Iraq tour and was going to spend Christmas with us so his gifts were sent to our house. We arrived home to find a nice gent bringing us empty boxes and he had a pickup load for other addresses. He lived on a somewhat secluded piece of property and arrived home to find a whole bunch of opened packages scattered on his lawn. He called the police and then went about delivering the boxes to the addressed people so they would know what had happened.

I told a local business friend and his response was "There has to be a specially trolley that goes straight to hell for people who would do something like that". We recently saw a video of someone sending their little girl up to a house to steal the packages and bring them back to the car. Doesn't get much worse than that.

Don't have that problem. DSC02443 (2).jpg Fed X an UPS delivery guys bring her a treat and a few chin scratches. Any strangers may have a problem.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
