Is 50,000 mi.a lot or is just getting broke in?The bike never works hard,I`m thinking 3000,000mi..I`m just talking about motor. Is there a forum for this . Thanks in advance.Mike P (scooch) I ask this question on .com also.
scooch,
I see no reason that the Rocket wouldn't get that many miles,
like you yourself said,
the motor NEVER strains.
Now if a feller put a supercharger or turbo on it and bounced it down the track regularly,
I could see THAT one not reaching its potential,
but just us, riding everyday, like heathens,
I personally plan on mine being the last bike I ever have to buy.

Agreed - I think I've heard of one approaching 200,000 miles in Australia - was being serviced a while back at 160,000, all it needed was factory reco services and plenty of tyres and brake pads, oil n filters...
I'm bringing the one i found in TN back to the UK, it is a keeper, simple as that...
When I come back to the USA next October I plan on buying a small wreck, fix it up and do a Carpenter racing job or something like that, nay problems :O)))
I have 52,000 on mine and have had no mechanical issues at all.. In fact, I think it's just getting broke in. I know my Thunderbird Sport didn't feel really broke in until about the 38,000 mile mark..
