Highest gears 4th and 5th fall out of gear

Sounds like a Detent Spring is busted. $2 part, 3 hour job.

Question on detent spring. Did this issue get resolved or improve with later models? I have a 2016 Roadster and I’m curious if its still susceptible to this issue? Thanks

I have an 07 Classic. The issue of dropping out of gear was resolved. The pedal feels was greatly improved. With the direct shifter it is even better.

Nice shifter but sloppy linkage has nothing to do with the transmission dropping out of gear.
