HELP - Tail of the Dragon ate my brakes

Kind of the same thing happened to me, I am in Maggie Valley as I type. I got here yesterday from CT, Via Skyline dr, and BRP. I left today to go do the dragon and back brakes are squeaking

Looked online for dealers Knoxville was the closed. then came on here found this tread, Called Myers at 10, they would have my brakes by 4.

I got there at 330 they arrived at 4. Put them on right there in the parking lot.

Extremely easy to change. This is coming from a non mechanic. Just needed the screwdriver.

Here is a quick list of bikes that share the same brake pads:
01 and newer Honda Goldwing 1800/1800A
02 and newer Honda VTX 1800 C/1800 R
09 Ducati GT1000
08 Moto Guzzi Griso 1100
08 BMW G650 Xcountry
07 Victory Kingpin
That is some good info, I'll have to add that to my cross-reference parts listed on the thumb drive I keep on top of the battery for roadside repairs.
One day I'll have to use that thing and the parts dept is going to crap themselves when I ask to use their computer and pull up a better source of info than they have. LOL

I've seen this tail of the dragon road you speak of on YouTube
I would love to ride this road it looks awesome . Obviously with a spare set of brake pads on hand ;)

You have 9 months to save up and fly over. Someone here will loan you a bike.

What about it men ? Anyone have a extra bike that they will loan to a friend?

I've got a 2008 Sprint ST ABS, and a 2005 Rocket III. Can't ride them both at the same time. Come on over to Kansas and you're welcome to what ever I have.

I suppose I should explain my fondness for Aussie’s. As a younger man, I was a US Marine. I was a helicopter electronics tech, and fortunate enough to get to/have to go on a Westpac cruise with the US Navy (it was a love/hate thing). This time was a milestone in my life. We sailed North of Hawaii, past the Philippine Islands, and finally settled in the Indian Ocean, West of Perth/ Fremantle, Australia. The ships I was on (I spent time on the USS Okinawa and USS Cleveland) deposited approx 8,000 US Marines amidst a like number of Aussie military in a joint exercise, and it went off without a hitch.
After the exercise we docked in Fremantle, and spent a week in the Perth vicinity. Myself and 2 “mates” rented a car and toured the area. As proper US Marines, we to stopped at nearly every pub we encountered. Never…..ever…..have I encountered the kindness of strangers that I experienced in Australia.
At a pub South of Fremantle….I don’t remember the name of the town….. we were introduced to Aussie beer. My friends and I parked ourselves at the bar and ordered a round of Fosters. Shortly, a rather rough looking bloke in a motorcycle jacket approached us and asked “what are you drinking that crap for? That’s the piss we export to the states”. We were soon educated to proper Aussie beer, and were the hit of the pub as the Aussies warmed up to the Yanks in their midst. After several hours of darts, beer, and the friendship of total strangers, we were invited to a party at a “Caravan Park”. A Caravan Park would be an RV park in the states, but this one was on the beach. I’ve never had a better time, had better food, or been as genuinely welcomed as I was that night. I should also add that I’ve never seen more attractive women than the Aussie girls in their bikinis that night.
So, any Aussie that needs a spot to land in the middle of the US, hit me up. I’d be glad to repay the favor.
