So I'm renewing insurance right now, and despite they will only pay me the market value of the standard bike if I total it, they want me to provide them with the current value of the including modifications.
Apparently enhancements can make the bike more likely to be stolen, or something. They'll probably load up my premium if it's a high value bike.

So, if you could tell me what price tag you would put on this bike (based on the below spec - it appears about £9000 is what normal '10 Roadsters go for in the UK at the mo), I would be grateful;

2010 Roadster
+ 23k miles
+ generous FSH
+ 207hp, 160 ft lbs
+ Custom made stainless steel full exhaust system (to BS AU 193a: 1990/T3)
+ Triple K&N pod air filters
+ Power Commander 5
+ Wideband O2 Autotune with Analog AFR gauge in Chrome handlebar pod
+ Sports screen
+ Chin spoiler
+ Front & rear hidden blackbox cameras (loop record full HD when ignition on)
+ Full conversion of all lights to LED
+ ZX14r chrome rearsets
+ Heated grips
+ Foglights
+ Powdercoated rims
+ Kiwav indicator mirrors
+ Scorpio Sri900 alarm immobiliser with proximity sensor and remote kill hijack module
+ Dual batteries
+ Triumph anti-theft valve caps
+ Triumph knee grip pads on tank
+ Triumph caps on front axle

- Very minor surface rust in a few spots around bike like front of swingarm and inside mudguards etc
- Small dent in rear mudguard tip

I don't know about Rocket values over there, but I would suggest shopping around for other insurance quotes and policies that stipulate full replacement value, not current value. I've found apples-to-adults insurance quotes up to 3x different in price, so definitely shop around both major national companies and small local guys too. Current value really screws you if you have a loss. Full replacement value gives you the new cost of everything, just be sure to itemize your big-ticket upgrades (exhaust, PC, etc.).

Where in the world are you ? Is it your permanent home ? If not can you insure at your permanent home elsewhere and have the bike with you on a temporary basis on the island ?

Sorry I am not smart enough to give you an idea of true value there. And I wished your situation was different with the insurance world there. I have Progressive here and they treated me well when I hit the fawn on my FZ1 back in 2011. I received more than I paid for it plus they covered my gloves, Bluetooth unit on the helmet and the Helmet. I hope you are not screwed too hard.

Insurance is a pain. Here in the UK there are two companies that i use MCE and Bennetts,i have a multi bike policy covering my 2007 rocket and a 2002 ZX12R.

I usually end up changing each year from one to the other as a new quote is usually lower than the cost of renewal .. i paid £266 last June fully comp and protected no claims..

Shop around is the answer..

personally i think you have answered your own question...9k...one persons bling is not neccessarily another guys wish list.i mean how much would you think anti theft valve caps add to the value, or tank pads for that matter.30k good luck with that,if i could insure mine for 30k id want someone to steal it the following day.

as above, i've tried all the companies that provide bike insurance here and i'm now working with the cheapest/best option

i know what you're smoking, one person may consider a tuned up bike more desireable, another will think it meddled with. but i've already had this conversation with the insurance, they won't accept market price for a stock biker when it has been "enhanced".

Reading through all of this, I think your best course of action would be to have a the purchase value for the stock bike when new, and have all your receipts or at least values of modifications (parts + labor). I'm sure if your bike is totaled, your insurance company will account for depreciation of everything, but at least you won't have to argue the validity or desirability of the mods you've chosen. If you can line item each mod (description, price, labor) and get your insurer to attach the list as an exhibit or rider to your contract, all the better.
