Headlight Issue

Got a slight problem. When i turn the key everything works but the headlights. Headlights will blink momentarily and then go out. Bike will start but just parking lights will be on. If i play with the key switching the bike on and off eventually the lights will stay on. Has no rhyme or reason. AT times no issue but other times it is getting to be a real pain. Once the lights come on there is no issue. HELP NEEDED
 
Possibly the relay that switches between the starter and the headlights is playing up. Very easy check by removing and plugging another one in.
 
Had a feeling that was it but where and which relay. Side cover right hand side? Or one of the three under left hand cover? ( in reference as sitting on the bike)
