Friend of mine rides a Tiger. He just bought a new battery and installed it but the bike wouldnt start...gauges flickered etc but no fire.
I suggested the battery may not be fully charged so he put it on the charger and the charger said it was fully charged...ok...maybe a faulty cell?
What about a bad ground fitting?....Tried a car battery and it started and ran...put it back on the new battery and the bike wouldnt run!..wtf?
Battery must be faulty for sure!...
He borrowed the neighbors charger and tried that and found it was charging the battery!...turns out his charger was faulty and showing fully charged when in fact it wasnt.
Couple of hours later everything was fine..Had us scratching our heads for sure.

Have a '78 Buick that is sort of a play/extra car that i put my 1970's Battery Tender on to keep the battery warm.....6 months ago or longer...tried to start the car the other day...Battery stone cold dead. The battery tender was still on and showing charged...(the idiot light was on)...Needless to say the 1yr old battery was toast and so was the tender...But the red led still lit up....

Just had something similar, threw out a charger that only charged to 60%, then stopped, still reading 60. Thought it was the battery, but tried it on multiple batteries.
