Harley Road Glide Ultra...RIP

Yesterday I was in Dothan, AL and went to find out if they had sold my bike I sold back to them in October hours before I picked up my new 2014 Rocket III Touring.

I found that a guy had taken it out on a demo ride and the idiot rode it into a ditch and totaled it out. I felt bad for the dealership as they obviously, even though covered by the dealership's insurance, didn't make the money they thought they were going to when they took it off of my hands. I also felt bad that it was totaled...it wasn't a bad bike at all...just didn't have the "zing" and acceleration and torque that my Triumph has at only about half the money I eventually ended up putting into the Harley.

Even though it was a Harley it didn't deserve to be ridden by an idiot who obviously had no business riding a "big" bike...I hope that he has been sent back to taking another MSF course and that he is permitted to riding nothing bigger than a 250 cc Kawasaki "little" bike.

Sad ending to a lost love, as for the rider hope he is ok. Funny how we grow attached to them all, just some more than others. After my stupid antics last summer I somehow feel like a murderer.

My bike not a person, most grateful for that, would have hung up the gear for good!
