HansO's New Bike

Not sure mate, wasn't my bike. The number of failures are starting to pile up for BMW, they are going to loose a lot of customers.
Looked hard at the sport touring bike they offer. Really impressive numbers on horsepower and torque. Matter of fact most police departments started to use the bike. Got online and found a sight that reported the maintenance and upkeep on the bike by the respective police departments. Did not take much to realize BMW really has a lot of problems.

For some strange reason i can't picture you on that bike..;) Glad your on the mend and back in the saddle...

Awesome mate. I am sure you will do a tonne of happy miles on it

The riders here are in BMW, Halvarssons (or other members of Jofama group), Rukka, etc gear. And yes - generally BMW or Schuberth lids.
I have to honest here - I have some Halvarssons gear - their gloves actually fit me. Also have a summer jacket/pants bought in a closing down sale.

The Bikes are dressed in TouraTech or similar. It's like watching Harley owners buy Chome from Roland Sands etc. Make something individual and be ridiculed for not being "custom". Riiiiight!

To ride I prefer the Guzzi Stelvio - But early ones have some issues. The big bugbear I have seen in my mates workshop with new Beemers and Stelvio - Getting at things. Batteries under tanks - Airfilters that are inaccessible - it's a growing list everytime I'm there. Triumph I don't think he's seen yet. The R3 is actually fairly easy to get at common things.

Good choice Hans. Enjoy the new ride when the wing is healed. Should be fun on the dirt roads. Been thinking of an Explorer for me one day since Idaho has more dirt roads than paved roads. But I'll definitely need some kind of lowering link. 29 inch inseam going to be tough to handle a stock one.

Visit Maccas more often and all problems would be solved! ;):p:eek::D:D:D
