A lot of HD owners had that setup on my Rt 66 ride - seemed a lot easier than a full cover and definitely takes less space in the saddle bags. No one had a problem with them blowing off, even on windy nights.
Looks nice but I did not see one for the Rocket. I have two of the Triumph ones a light duty one I use on the raod for rain and a heavyduty one. To be honest the heavy one does not take up much more room then the light duty one. Both cover everthing just fine includding gps and any of the wind screens that Triumph makes. I will have to give soem thoguht to wether one is bettwer then the other. I do know the heavy one will protcet from hail damage a lot better. Both are made for either backrest Triumph makes. They both cover the side bags I use Corbin and H&B s raiting them will be hard.
Rich and warp, thanks for your comments. I emailed them and they suggested the XL for the r3. I don't use saddlebags, just the rollbags you see in my sig pic and the WindVest up front. There's velcro to connect under the tripletree plus some elastic tiedowns at the sides and rear. I guess for the price I'll just get one and let you all know
Thanks for the suggestion, Ogre, however I already got the UV-2000. Haven't tested it yet but fits right. Guess I should post a pic - will try to remember to do that this weekend. Got some rain here too so a full report could be available soon --
