Hagon "ROAD" shocks - anyone using them?

if you were around Westward Ho! in devon this coming weekend, i would bring my Hagon Road shocks down and you could try them. Ive not put them on the goldwing yet so it wouldnt be a problem.

Mine are the further rights - narrow springs in black (of course).

. To be fair the stock shocks arent THAT bad - turned up to the right settings and they are ok.

I would beg to differ!!! stock shocks pick up & amplify every bump, & if you wind them up too hard, it ****s up the handling( hard riding) Save up for the Nitros & order the heavy duty springs. You WONT regret it... new levels of comfort & handling. & you can get extra long (340mm) if you want more clearance.

you can beg as much as you want but its a personal viewpoint :) i rode with stock shocks for a year and when i moved to progressive 440HDs (13inch versions) i didnt notice that much of a difference. perhaps im not as sensitive as you or more likely i dont ride-like-i-stole-it as much as you :)

just got a response back - they are sold to another member on this site - sorry. keep an eye out for some more 2nd hand ones, but id also give hagon a call - they will tell you if the cheaper ones will do the job. Would that be the too stiff or too limp setting?

That's a very kind offer and much appreciated but alas I have to work this weekend, even if I do get out on the Sunday it's likely to be a bit late.

I have turned the setting up to No.4 and will give it a go and see how I get on. I do understand the dislike noted on here for the standard units as I haven't felt such lack of confidence in the lanes since I rode the original V-max many years ago. I do find that I'm often not connected to the seat when cornering in some of the Dorset bends.

I will bear your offer in mind if I may as it may be something I can arrange with you at a later date, it's much appreciated .

Hi Im 20st,(beer), and had the nitro's on my honda VTX and I have now fitted some to my roadster with the strongest springs they do, plus fork springs, but havent had chance to try then out, but i'm sure they'll be just right, I had my originals turned upto 5 and 2 up it was bouncing all over the place. mind i did have 2 zxr6's on me tail at the time.
They are the best.
cheers

As I have decided to put money aside for the Nitros I have experimanted with settings until I have the saved enough to go for the change. I put 42psi in the rear and 38psi in the front (4psi more than std) and turned the shocks to 4 and the bike behaved far bettr than it was behaving before so thank you for the tips, now to open another account for the shocks!

I can only tell you that the best after market shocks I have ever tried on any of my 20+ bikes are the Progressive 430s. Just an amazing difference from the stockers! They look great and perform even better. Check them out. They have made the riding experience totally different.
