Honestly, I do it by feel. There’s a procedure in the manual, but I like the feel method.
I do it by slacking the adjuster at the lever, then slowly tighten it until it takes a few mm of pull to take all the slack out. You can feel the difference at the arm down on the motor of when it’s totally slack and when it’s just starting to engage. Here:
Just leave it in neutral running on the side stand. If you go directly to the pictures lever and slightly move it like it moves when pulling the lever at the bar, can you feel a slight vibration go away? You should. The fork internally just flops around under the plunger until the lever gets pulled slightly.
Or just use the manual, it’s easier to do if your not familiar with how it should be, but the feel method is vastly quicker once you know what to look for.
