Getting my bike Dyno'd today.

Anth, you're a big man in my eyes mate. Just your arse is too close to the ground. ;)[/QUOTE]

Perhaps u could get him to stand on a crate mate then his arse might be in a better position for u mate lmfao.......................

........... sorry guys lol

One of our WA friends put them on his Classic and pretty sure he said it was too bloody hot. Think it was Scorp; nice chrome set. I also recall he had an off. :( Hopefully fully recovered....... Sorry mate, but I just can't remember getting an update.

Very tempted to try them but don't want it to be a mistake.

I remember know, Scorp wasn't running heat shields initially and when some idiot ran into him. Still doesn't tell me how they would be with heat shields. It would be good to hear from anyone who's actually got a Reband exhaust with heat shields (as opposed to some other headers) on a Standard or Classic.

Richard I met scorp when I got my S T's from him.. I remember him saying he scorched a good pair of Jeans :D

Hi all. Heat shields made a huge difference, much prefer the look without them. Without the shields my leg was getting baked through my jeans. Each time I stopped I had to put my right leg out as far it would rest on the edge of the running board. Actually 2 pairs of jeans are scorched. Now with the shield can rest against it. In saying all that I still haven't had a tune since the install. The way the bike runs is good, around the city or open road. Maybe mine is hotter without the tune??

Good chance you would be a bit lean hence the heat if you haven't had a tune yet for sure, my original AFR map which was more aimed at economy tended to run a bit hotter

OK, here's the latest. Had to move the driving lights but not the indicators. As you can see, it's a close fit. The filter is a huge improvement and acceleration from 2500rpm is mind blowing. Even the exhaust note is deeper. Next I want to sit it in a bit further and fill in the gap with the top edge of a bear claw - I have one coming (thanks Anth).

Cobba mate, you were really onto something. The increase in power is quite remarkable and it sure is an attention grabber. Now for a decent exhaust header.........

That looks great. Why don't you order the exhaust header with megaphone muffler from Carpenter? Along with porting and cams, they get 210 hp.

Canberra,
Was looking at your pix. That K&N is bodacious! Wild Thing comes to my mind.:)
Can you tell me what those pegs mounted to your engine guards are? They are much smaller and compact than mine and I LIKE yours better.
Thanks, Mate,

I know it's not just a beauty contest but frankly I don't much care for the swept back pipes. If I do anything it will need to be something like the Reband pipe. Actually probably will be the Reband pipe.

Thanks. Bodacious, I like that. The foot pegs are just the standard Triumph accessory but without the big extra mount that gives 360 degree adjustment. I can only turn the bracket around to reposition mine or move them up or down on the bars to get extra reach, but fortunately they're just perfect for me where they are. Gives me three foot positions as I can rest my heel on the std peg and toe on the hi way peg. You'd need clown feet to that on a Roadster though. ;)

Useful info Scorp. Thanks.

REBAND HEAT SHIELD..

Ric at Reband does now do a shield, it's C/F....

Look at Reband website - gallery - white Roadster b'longa Gra.......

There's no prob with heat on the legs, with the pipes on a standard/classic... tried 'em on mine....no, I'm NOT on a comm!
