Getting my bike Dyno'd today.

Well mate, I have my doubts it would make much difference anyway. (I can hear the howls of derision as I type but I don't care). I can tell you it's running smoothly and freely right through the rev range with no feeling at all that there's any undue restrictions. Plenty good enough for me. Of course I'd be more than happy to give Reband a go if someone wanted to send me a set - and Pete's Perfect Storms will always be welcome here. ;)

Here's a couple more pics (just because I have them).

When and if I get tripple filters or some other form of free flowing intake I will get mine dynoed to get a comparison with Mitch and Mittzy's exhaust systems and my standard headers with single pipe.

Hey what does 'derision' mean ?

and looking at that pic from front on view....makes me think, you know how the supercharged guys run a pipe from air stack across the top out to the right to connect to the supercharger....well if you made a new setup exactly as this one is but split a pipe across to the other side and had a matching 'port side' intake a) would look good, b) would suck in more air.

Now as for my howls, Listen young fella, if you have a funnel, a big inlet and a little outlet, whats going to happen when you pour lots of liquid into it? Yep it will back up, slow the flow and spill out the inlet end. If you reverse the setup you'll only spit out or pour out as much as you can get in. If you balance the inlet and throughput then outlet.......ahhh fruck...are you baiting me? Apart from you sounding like my chinese maths teacher, i think you raise a contemptuous topic dear dic.:D

my dovalackie will be in the whatsamacallie and should be delivered up yonda at a feather past a beak.

i'll let you know when i swing past and grab it for ya.:D

To be honest with you, I was only going to put that thing on to give it a try. I was skeptical it would make any difference at all but got a real surprise. Cobba's original dyno showed a good increase - cant remember what exhaust he had. I know TORs aren't brilliant but they do a god job with the Staintune collector. Probably only 2 things stopping me getting a Reband set up, the main one being the way they run so close to your leg, even more so with the Std peg set up. The other one is.....aw *** it, there isn't really another reason. Maybe I should, and make this set up make more 'sense'.

i dunno if the being close to your leg will be an issue mate. you've got plenty room with those lanky legs haven't you??? there are more and more blokes running the reband so id reckon you should at least sit on a standard with same peg position and check.

This is were Hanso would usually chirp up and ridicule your 'lanky legs' statement and have a go at Richard about his height .. but he can't ... ha- -ha- ha .. he's on a good behaviour bond.

Good Behaviour Bond be buggered where the F#ck did you get that notion,:p:rolleyes:
I am just laughing to hard  considering Ponters is probably shorter (sorry Anthony) than him and you don't hear him whinging about the heat except before he had heat wrap or heatshields.
The Reband would not stick out much more than my Sam's Headers and I have no problem in fact my trouser leg is often touching my heastshield, , try riding with std headers with out the double skin heatshields on and see how much heat comes out.
The ceramic coating in the rebands or any other custom header cuts down a lot of the heat

true but i have a roadster so pegs are a fair way back.

and for your info hanso, I'm not shorter than Richard. Proved that when we shared accommodation on the way to hervey bay....im just less tall!:D

One of our WA friends put them on his Classic and pretty sure he said it was too bloody hot. Think it was Scorp; nice chrome set. I also recall he had an off. :( Hopefully fully recovered....... Sorry mate, but I just can't remember getting an update.

Very tempted to try them but don't want it to be a mistake.

Anth, you're a big man in my eyes mate. Just your arse is too close to the ground. ;)

I remember know, Scorp wasn't running heat shields initially and when some idiot ran into him. Still doesn't tell me how they would be with heat shields. It would be good to hear from anyone who's actually got a Reband exhaust with heat shields (as opposed to some other headers) on a Standard or Classic.

not 100% sure but I think you will find he was not running any heatshields at least not in the pictures I saw anyway:rolleyes:
