Well there is your answer......Your units were designed as a unit. The Cyclops as a retrofit to the Halfords put out their light differently.

I do not think the J and W's or Daymakers emit the same lumens as the Cyclops or you would need a cooling fan or one heck of a heat sink...

What is your rated output bull? And are you running the EVOs or the Daymakers?

Go with the Cyclops....They use 4 Cree XML2 emitters...not COB LEDs..Plus the service is great! Just buy them through Rocky Mountain to save about 30 dollars vs ordering from Cyclops direct.

Alot of guys here vouched for them and I took the leap and they were right!

I have searched and can not find a spec sheet for the 67700145 Daymakers. Boy are there ever a lot of manufacturers ripping-off the Daymaker name!
I tested mine and here are the results:

My concern is not with the lumen output of each light. My focus is what a rider/driver can see, discern and react to.
Humans lose this ability under 3.2 lux or .3 candela. Other human factors come into play as well, such as contrast and reflectivity.

You are one educated olbull....! Man...you are not kidding on the Chinese rip offs on the Daymakers!

I see a bunch of OPPO brands and others on Amazon. At least you got the real deal! They are pricey but if you do any night time riding those Halfords are a one way ticket to the morgue!

I ride in the day...night scares me....so I am looking for conspicuity first and illumination in the dusk hours when I am rushing home to the wife late from a liason with my hooker or coke dealer

Day Makers are made in the United States. Just bought some about two weeks ago. The lights are the best $640.00 dollars I have ever spent on a motorcycle. The brights light up the highway better than my wife's truck lights do. The low beam is fantastic for lighting up a wide area in front of the bike. No problems with taking a turn and losing lighting due to how we set the Rocket X dual headlights up. I guess if you were more show than go spending $640.00 dollars on lights would not be your cup of tea. So we will ask the question again imfasttoo "How many miles per year on the Rocket" Last time I ask this question was in regards to the reliability to the Carpenters systems.
