Oh you will need a rattle gun to remove nut on clutch, l also have a clutch holding tool if you can't get one locally, I'd check with Les as he may have one
[QUOTE"TURBO200R4, post: 247661, memb: 4338"]a extra long needle pliers and a flong flat bladed screwdriver
i need to find one of those flong flat bladed screwdrivers my suppliers can't seem to come up with one must be an aussie tool
and does the air chisel work good?[/QUOTE]
Ha Ha ........ I fixed the flong so you dont confused i dont know what you call them over there in states but a "rattle gun" is a hi- torque racheting air gun normally most commonly used to remove and replace wheel nuts.
Oh by the way Mitch, i did also check the torque on the nut afterwards and the rattle gun had been sufficent
You should be able to visually verify whether the detent spring is broke or not without having to pull the clutch basket. If you end up installing one do not use any needle type pliers because if you put a slight nick in the hook of th espring whilst installing, it will cause the spring to fail at sometime down the road. Some good 50 lb test fishing line is a good way to stretch it on the pin. Just remember no sharp objects.
I only used the plyers for positioning the spring and levered the end on with the screw driver shaft, I plan to ring Mitch over the weekend to explain in more depth
Sing out Mitch if you need a good rattle gun etc
Also I have a magnet pick up tool (quite small and powerful) you may need this to fish around for the spring bits.
You have my number.
Oh and I have an air compressor to if you don't have one.
