As part of my new Koso RXF install, I am trying to figure out the fuel gauge part and which wire is the right one to get the level reading from.
Fuel Gauge Wiring.jpg

As far as I can tell, the wires go as follows:
RU = +12V
GR = ?
B = Earth
BG = ?

So which one is it - BG or GR ? Any help appreciated as always.

1 bg. A06
Is computor ground on the 07
Sorry Turbo, Thanks for your reply - You are saying that the output for the fuel gauge is No.1 but I don't understand your question about computer & ground :unsure:

edit - sorry bud, just realised what you said :rolleyes:

I am going from memory will b at shop after a while and can use computer.
A06 is the return ground/earth in the ecu rather than frame,batt negative

when i posted a06 ( cant see good) sorry
thru the process of limitation i think the
A08 from ecu to pin 1 BG is the gauge signal now i do not know what kind of signal but will guess it to be voltage then through the gauge/koso then to one of the grounds
2 b ground
3 gr power that has gone thru the alarm circuit
4 ru power from fuse 8
the best i can tell

If u check 1 bg for voltage
Is it 5 volts or 12 volts or something else?

I guess my thinking is a little off happens sometimes.
The ecu (i think) is sending 5 volts to the tank sensor cant spell it
Then back to ecu reading the lower voltage depending on float level.
Then the ecu will send the signal out of A08 to the gas gauge
I do not know what that signal is ?

I have just had another look and the signal wire from the ECU is a resistance of 5.5K Ohms - not sure if that changes with the fuel level because the tank is raised so the sender will be in a strange position. The Koso setup options for resistance are 100, 250, 500, 1200 and a custom setting of up 1999 Ohms - none of which are a close match in any way. The confusion continues :unsure: :oops:
