Front Fork Seals/Prog Springs

Still have one left over from the bonneville. Have not got around to checking it out but more than likely will work on the Rocket;););)

I have a little gizmo that Nolton left in my shop when we did his forks. It is a graduated steel tube about 1/8" in diameter that has a stop ring on it amnd a syringe attached to one end. Fill the fork tube as noted above with a little more oil than necessary, set the stop ring on 89, compress the fork tube and draw off oil to the proper depth...simple
Yes I have something similar made up of a large syringe and a small brass tube . Certainly takes the guess work out and gives a dead accurate air gap !

Can anyone help me find the correct fork compression tool needed to change out the springs? Or should I just bite the bullet and order the pricey one from Triumph?

I can't get the link up by try Googleing "SEALEY " motorcycle fork spring compressor. Around £60 BPS !

Update: 89mm from the top with the fork tubes and the damper compressed (down position)
Like others have said before on this forum - Progressive springs make it feel like a completely different bike, so much better in every way, as advertised. The difference is unreal! I think the 7w oil is perfect (for me @ 215 lbs anyway)

Oh yea, I know these work on other applications but THEY DON'T WORK on the Rocket fork seals - once inside the seal, trying to pull it around it would only fold over itself  Not that it was going to solve my problem anyway - But I'm glad because it gave me an excuse to install the Progressive springs :D :D :D :D

HEY IF you had sprayed and cleaned your forks and seals with LEMON PLEDGE you wouldnt have to replace the seals as it keeps them clean and lubed I use it on all the bikes GREAT STUFF

Yea my front shocks seals was leaking and had to be taken apart so I had my dealer up grade me to progress shocks in the front and then I changed the back ones to Haugen's shocks.
Wish I did that a long time ago the ride is so much better, as well as a big difference in cornering,

I'd be interested in what you think, I did the progressive springs, I think I used 7 1/2 weight the first time, 2 or 3 the second, small improvement, but not as much as I hoped, I like the lighter weight fork oil better, it improved the handling more than the ride, I would say. Hagon rears made a bigger difference.
