Front Brake Sound Normal?

1/4" on the pads must be some good pads as new ones do not have a 1/4" thickness:D

Well, after looking at a ruler and the pads again I think they must be an 1/8" to 3/16". I manage to convince my girlfriends that 5" is actually 12". I guess my tendency for gross exaggeration has gotten the better of me. ;) Anyway, based on most replies, I'm glad to know what I am hearing is the norm and not the exception. Thanks to all.

It's possible someone put EBC "HH" pads in the front. A lot of us use them because they work really good. They are noisier than stock pads but they are like having power brakes :inlove
When I changed to EBC HH pads I gained better braking and a swooshing sound.

Part of my upgrade package this round is replacing brake pads both front and back with EBC HH. Good to hear.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: (no pun intended):D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
