The NSW police tried the "new" mustang out as replacement for the SS special build V8 Commodore pursuit car that are now deleted from production, they failed dismally when tested for suitability ,overheated ,brakes went off, too small to transport bad guys in the back and a well used ex highway Patrol SS left it for dead on the test circuit at the Goulburn training Academy, just another Café Latte set car

Well according to recent stats the Mustang was the biggest selling car right across the globe in 2016....some just now a great car when they drive one it seems!!

The mustang may be the best selling car of its type but the Toyota Corolla was the biggest selling car in the world 1.3million in 2016, the Corolla has been the leader for some time but a boring car, give me a Dodge 707HP
Hellcat any time ,but if they are giving them away I would have a Mustang, and see if I could shoe horn spare 460 I have sitting in the shed earmarked for the Customline

That 428 MUSTANG stock can not beat a stock Rocket
Thought I'd share this, last Saturday evening I had scooted out to visit @Paul Bryant and was on my way home on my old T140 Bonneville, going down a straight I was catching up to a blue 1970 fastback Mach1 mustang it was sitting on about 90kph (under 60mph).
I really like these old Mustangs and wanted a better look, seeing the guy was in no hurry I figured to ride past and give him the thumbs up.
I pottered along behind it until I came to a single lane bridge with a 35kph turn coming out of it and a clear road thereafter (at least for a little while).
As I cleared the bridge I swung out and gassed it, as I got level with the front half of his car, then saw the shaker and Cobra on the bonnet, grinned and gave him the thumbs up, then I heard his engine pickup and he must have thought I wanted to race, he then holds me level on the wrong side of the road and cars started coming the other way!, didn't really have the power to get past so did some bad riding to push in front, he then slowed down again.
Was a bit disappointed with his behavior but my wife pointed out when I got home and told her that, leveling off next to him and thumbs up may be misconstrued. If I ever see him again I'll stop and apologize as felt a bit bad about my cutting in could have dropped back, but my ego got in the way.
Lesson though don't try and drag off a 428 Cobra on a 45bhp old 750 Bonneville. The R3 wouldn't have been a fair race either though...

NOT even close no competition those cars coudnt beat the little 500 KAWASAKI 2 strokes but they look nice
