Ford Mustang Encounter

It's all rhetorical mate , it reminds me of my school days and the old my Dad could beat your Dad conversations, except my dad could :laugh:
IT all started with the BS storiy of the old mustang beating the Rocket never happen and the race with the VEYRON is going to be a !/2 mile dragrace they made the challenge and we will WIN that race In the real world where we live its mostly light to light drag racing or at a 1/4 mile drag strip we do have some open highway space and lots of nice twisty country roads So the modded Rockets are everyday riders and comfy cruisers and are perfect for beating the new muscle cars badly

Photos or it never happened

I'll pit my Mustang up against the first member who shows up on A1A with their Veyron. Car must be titled in your name. Put up or shut up..........;):whitstling:

The big difference here is I might be able to afford Dodge Hellcat, the Veyron might send me broke, if it didn't I'm sure the first service would:D
The Demon beats the VEYRON in our world we have no AUTOBAHN and if we did we would build bikes for that purpose the cars never beat th
More than likely the second
YEP one of your BS stories

I never call another posters input BS for one its antagonistic and insulting , and secondly the post is a persons interpretation of an incident they were involved in and unless you were there you cannot comment on the event, every one perceives things in their own way ,also the Mustang encounter involved if my fading memory is right a big block 428 Mustang and a T140 Bonneville not a rocket, I usually read these posts and enjoy them as they are a mans everyday experience out riding one of his bikes not as an opportunity to nit pick and call bull****, like the recent BS call on my comments relating our encounter with a skilled rider on a familiar road dusting off our group of riders on his Kawasaki 1400 GTR and his statement that he had around 200HP no mention of RWHP just HP well I was so impressed that today I pick up my new 1400 GTR after test riding one with 92000Ks (trouble free) on the clock
I will not post any impressions of the bike unless solicited ,

You have to look at who posted the BS and that's all I have to say

I had a 69' Mercury Cyclone, with a 428 Cobra Jet. Fast yes ! But not Rocket fast. Bone stock cars from the sixties were lucky to get into the 13's. They sure felt fast though. Kind of brutal in their power delivery. Not all smooth and polished like the cars of today. Wish I still had it :(
YES I owned one itwas a good looking car but like you say not as fast as a ROCKET My buddy has a restored one its very nice and he has spent a lot of money on the restoration and drives it on the weekends to the local car shows

We also have to remember that not every race is determined by the machines. Each rider has different abilities. I remember in the early 70's my dad had a Honda 350, and a Pontiac Tempest he felt were evenly matched, and wanted to know which was faster. So he got my uncle to drive the car, while he rode the bike. He couldn't believe how much faster the bike was, so they switched. This time the car won by a big margin. The only thing that was determined was that my uncle wasn't as fast as my dad.

I'll open the can o worms, and solicit your impression of the 1400.

@cusso ken I'll second that and solicit your impressions too, these have the detuned ZXR1400 motor?? 0-60 in 2.5sec. Not my sort of bike but like looking at other bikes.
