AWESOME, AWESOME AND AWESOME. To say that it is a improvement is the understatement of the year. The people on here that suggested the 140/75R17 front tire, I owe you a beer or two maybe three or four. You were all right on the money. The Scorcher II is a hit. Very good handling tire with a lot of grip. The tire really hugs the road. No point in talking about the Exedra Max. We already know what a great tire that is. Makes the stock tires feel like a joke. OK now I am going to post just my opinion but with this combo it makes the AVON'S i had mounted feel like bicycle tires. Smooth ride, turns are a breeze and even at 130 mph tracks like a champ. Hard takeoffs no problem. I like it even better than the Michelin Commander II's on the Harley. That is saying a lot. Unbelievable how the two tires work together. Well beyond my hopes of being a good combination. Gambled a bit on the choice of the front tire and **** glad i did. Smooth ,tracks well and very responsive in a tight corner at high speeds. One happy camper.

I am sitting at my computer about to buy tires for both my R3R and my STR. Is the front tire you talking about this tire?

I am running stock tires right now and I have read a million threads about tire selection. Going with EMAX rear and now after reading this, do I roll the dice with you? Haha

No that is not it.. That should be 140/75R17, make sure it is not a 31 or 32. Go to Motorcycle cycle super store. They have the right tire in stock

This looks to be the same tire. On revzilla you just have to drop down to that specific tire. Wanted to make sure it was the 11s not the 31 or 32 like you mentioned.

Just bought an EMAX and the Scorcher 11s. My only question is on all these sites they claim this tire does not "fit" the R3R. The load rating is Load Rating: 67 - Maximum Capacity 677 lbs (got this off Michelin Scorcher 11 140/75R17 Front Tire | 213-084) Maybe this is my ignorance, but how is this compatible with the R3R as it is heavier than the load rating on this tire?

The 67 (677lb) load rating weight is for that actual tire, we have two so with 800lb (363kg) bike and say 400lb (182kg) load two up with luggage 1200lb (545kg). The Exedra max rear tire has a much higher 86V (1168lb) rating but there is a real issue that when braking hard much more of the load will be on the front tire. The stock front size rated at 71 (761lb) would exceed requirements but strictly speaking the 67 (677lb) rated front in the smaller size would not meet factory specs for compatibility I expect.

I wouldn't worry about it too much but if I was in court after an accident with a claim for or against me I wouldn't mention it either.

Thanks for the explanation! Makes enough sense to me and that is what I sort of figured but it sounds like a lot of guys on here use the 140. Anyone ever have any issues under heavy breaking with the smaller front tire? I never ride with luggage and I took my passenger seat off, so I just ride solo only (no wife haha) so it shouldn't be a problem?
