Coming from a 2.3 to the 2.5, I wondered if anyone has figured out how to grease the drive splines inside the final drive? Or is it not something that needs doing on the 2.5s? Do the splines run in oil?

At a little over 8k miles I thought it time to lube the splines on the 3R. I'm one of the few who went through a final drive and drive shaft on the older models and have tried since then to do this with every rear tire change or, at least, every other, so every 4 -8,000 miles. Although there was...

Rick,
That grease will not work on the splines. You need to.find some high strength moly lube. 60% moly
Honda use to sell it, but not anymore. What you bought is for when you disassemble the motor, and then use the assembly grease when putting the engine back together. Cam shafts, crank bearings ect.
