I can't believe it's been 14 years but this is what I have used over that stretch of time. With all the gear oil changes I haven't even broke off the drain plug, still have the original........

Just changed mine out with about 5000 on it. Gray, smelly, ugly, but still slick as snot, thick, and minimal metal on the magnet.

I use the same Mobil 1 75/90 in mine. I change it every spring.

I used the motul in my final drive, have for many years also. No issues. I usually change the drive oil when I do the engine oil.

I use Royal Purple mainly because that is what goes in the transmission on the Harley. Change it out at every tire swap. It comes out the same color as it was when it was put in.
