Final Drive Fill

Not having a manual to show capacities. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something here. Didn't see much come out when I drained it, so I thought it was right. Just wanted someone to assure. Not be a smartass like some.
And which posts are you referring to. Just coming off of my highly modified Bonnie, and this car engine is new to me. Figured this site would be a good source like others I've used on my Bonnie. Do you just sit back and bash everybody new to these bikes with a question, or do you ever post up anything constructive?

I think I need to warn the good people of this site of Mr. fat frank. First thing his not fat, a little round in the middle maybe, but not fat. Second Mr. fat frank is thick skin and thick headed and just plain thick. Third, he is a joker, so didn't get too pissed off just yet. His like the new kid at school. So with that said, welcome fat frank your on your own. Let the hazing begin.:D

I don't know about thick, but, I'm no alter boy. Ken, let me explain this one more time. I leaned the ****ing bike over just enough on my cycle jack so it wouldn't fall over on my ass. It wasn't level, but close. This bike is too **** heavy to be leaning over too far.. I didn't lay it on its side and try to fill the whole drive shaft too.
So I hope everybody quits trying to hurt my feelings. I have a lot of empathy, so be gentile to me. Or should I say, don't get me started.lol

When you gonna ride again? You gotta check out this bad boy. Got it broken in and have changed the oil to synthetic now. Rolled on it a little and holy ****. So much for my Hotrod Bonnie with the 80 plus HP. This thing will flat pull. I'm still finding it hard to believe how this much weight can can be jerked like this.
By the way, I didn't overfill the engine oil. If I do, I won't tell any body here on this site.
Later and post up for a ride.

Oh come on Frank!!!!! you mean to tell me you would take the pleasure of flaming you for over filling the oil away from us because Daryl took too many viagra's and didnt know any other way to bring his "kickstand" down??? Now thats just not playing fair!:D
Just take your ball and go home.................................oh and Welcome!!!!

You thought about it, didn't you? You can admit it, there is no shame. Just pm me, it'll be our little secret. Everyone here knows how well I keep secrets.

NEWSFLASH: FAT BOY OVERFILLS OIL!

:p:D:p:D:p:D

I underfilled the oil.lol I thought I followed the instructions to a tee. I filled her till it gaged right. Started her up and let her idle a while, turned it off and checked it again. I put in a total of 5.2 quarts of oil. I just started it up, let it idle, waited 10 minutes and it was a 1/2 quart low. I'm not completely ignorant, but this amazes me.
Maybe I need to go back and start riding my Bonnie again. Pretty cut and dry. Just look at the site window.
I cleaned the dip stick and put tape on it so I could see the oil level. No, I didn't drop the take in the tank.
Right now, it has about 5.7 quarts in it. I guess that's right. All this **** over an oil change. I completedly redid the top end on my Bonnie. My mechanical skills are a lot better than my ...............maybe not.
I can't believe I'm even posting this ****. Here it comes again.

One good thing about a dry sump oil system is that you can overfill and underfill and it won't make a bit of difference because the same amount of oil is in the crankcase.

Frank you can't leave it like that :D
