final drive and driveshaft

Check with pinwall cycles they may have one they are a junkyard and have use parts for many bikes
I check prior to posting Pinwall does not have any drive shafts or bevel boxes for any Rocket.

@Mitzy could you measure the outside diameter of the spline cup on your spare Roadster Bevel Box?

Ok @Mittzy Thanks you this does shed some light on the subject that @Trirocket3 might also want to know and might further the investigation as to whether Triumph increase the size of the splines and thus the strength on the roadster's bevel box.

Myself I am almost totally convinced the only difference in the two boxes is the color of the paint !!!

My reason why
1 the spline cup on my extra 07 bevel box is the same size as Mittzy's Therfore I suspect the spline diameter has not been increased or it would weaken the spline cup. Mine has 24 spline teeth on them (Checked both shaft and box) so if Mittzy would be so kind as to count the number of spline teeth in his box we can confirm it. Now other then black the only difference there could be is in the bushing or something that might allow for ABS ring. unless the Old rim is the same with the exception of maybe a machined surface for the ABS ring to mount to. That is unless it mount to the rotor then the rims could be exactly the same in the rear and the same for the front except they seemed to switch the fork tubes so the axle in the front inserts from the opposite side along with the bushings. Now if they were the same I would have to say the black out look is to darn expensive by a couple thousand :)

I counted 25 on the spline end and 29 on the wheel end

I double checked and mine is still 24 so since the cup has the same Outside diameter and you have more teeth then either the teeth are smaller so the OD does not change or the ID is larger then 35mm and of course the OD on the shaft is a but larger then the 37.41mm or so. Anyway I am not convinced it is stronger adding a tooth but taking material out of the inside of the cup for the added tooth that would seem to weekend the cup unless the cup was built for over kill. I wish I had the number of splines on a touring and the measurements to see if maybe the manufacturer just changed and starting phasing it in on the new touring model. Then once they set a date to change over the Roadsters. Just guessing of course.
